The MQM, Pakistan’s only fascist party is now in the federal government. Despite the incessant “roar” by the activists and leadership of PPP about the sacrifices given in the different political struggles, the PPP has always betrayed rather cashed the blood of its activists & leadership. Let’s have a look on the different “triumphs” claimed by the PPP in the name of democracy and a so-called “anti establishment stance”.
The person who is considered the champion of democracy in Pakistan, Mr. Z.A. Bhutto was a minister [of different portfolios] of a dictator Gen. Ayub, when the Maader-e-Millat, Mohterma Fatima Jinnah contested the elections against that dictator. The Jamat-i-Islami was in support of Mohterma Fatima Jinnah against Gen. Ayub. After having some differences with Ayub Khan, Z.A.Bhutto resigned, agitated against him and founded the PPP.
After the demise of Ayub’s government, Mr. Bhutto became the blue-eyed of another usurper, Gen Yahya Khan.
In the 1970’s elections Mr. Bhutto’s PPP and Mr. Mujeeb’s Awami League were the main political parties. Without going into the controversies of the aftermath of general elections Bhutto was in minority. Even then “The Champion” demanded his share in the power. The so-called democratic leader became the deputy Prime Minister of the then Bengali Prime Minister, Mr. Noor-ul-Ameen [one of the two non Awami League MNA from East Pakistan]. Can anyone explain why Mr. Bhutto fell from Ayub’s hands into the arms of Yahya? In which capacity Mr. Bhutto addressed the UNSC on December 14th 1971? These questions have never been answered and explained.
We again focus on the sacrifices of PPP…
It is believed that Gen. Zia-ul-Haq’s era starts from 5th July 1977 and ends on 17th Aug. 1988, with the demise of Gen. Zia. The vindictiveness of Zia needs no comment. He tried to crush the PPP, many barbaric acts were committed in the name of “Sharia”, but where all such acts vanished when the day of 10th April 1986 came?? The gates of Lahore Airport were opened for PPP’s activists… A gigantic ocean of people, from across Pakistan was there to welcome the late Bhutto’s daughter, Mohterma Benazir Bhutto. No Lathi Charge, Tear gassing or Road blockade was observed… Zia was still there… The same Zia who left behind all the dictators in his despotic and tyrannic behavior. Mohterma was welcomed on one side, while on the other side Bhutto’s son, Mir Murteza Ali Bhutto was victimized in different cases. Factually the establishment realized that Murteza would become a tough-ask for it, so it played a vital role in making BB a charismatic leader in order to keep Murteza away from Bhutto’s party.
After the victory in 1988’s elections, PPP government was directed by the establishment for the continuity of Zia’s Foreign Minister, Lt. Gen. (r) Sahibzada Yaqoob Ali Khan, further on the directions of their “Lords”, PPP also betrayed with its own Presidential candidate, Nawabzada Nasarullah Khan, who got only 21% votes while establishment’s Ghulam Is’haque Khan became the President after getting 78% votes.
In the first tenure of Mr. Nawaz after elections ’90, Mrs. Bhutto was leading the opposition. But when the government was about to be overthrown by G.I.Khan under the article 58(2)B, due to the mounting public pressure, Mohterma made a deal with Mr. Nawaz Sharif and became the Chairperson of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee for External affairs while Mr. Zerdari was released from the famous “Ghulam Hussain Unarh Murder case”. Both went abroad on the Government’s Expenses, Allah blessed them with a daughter…
The movement against Nawaz Sharif cooled down by her acts. Nawabzada Nasarullah Khan got disappointed a lot on these acts. These are just historical facts of the so-called struggle by the PPP.
There is no need to discuss the NRO, the historic welcome on 18th Oct 2007 was almost equal to that of 10th April 1986. Both time she made deals with the dictators. On 12th of May 2007 the bloodshed in Karachi was organized by MQM, most of the activists who were brutally slaughtered were of PPP. Without holding any enquiry, MQM was made initially the part of the provincial government and finally the part of the federal government . The activists and their sacrifices have been betrayed, so I don’t know the reasons that why PPP’s leaders always claim that they have given sacrifices for judiciary because on 12th of May PPP activists came out for the Chief Justice Mr. Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Choudhery and were assassinated by MQM, no enquiry was held. Now situation is, the assassins are Ministers, the chief Justice (The Purpose for which activists of PPP were assassinated) is tried to be humiliated.
So please anyone across the country explain me what type of struggle and sacrifices, PPP have had?
Thanks & Regards:
